On October 15-16, Tashkent hosted an international conference titled “Islam is a Religion of Peace and Kindness,” drawing renowned Islamic scholars, religious leaders, and public figures from across the Muslim world. The conference aimed to promote the core values of Islam, focusing on peace, tolerance, and respect for universal human principles, especially in the face of increasing global challenges.
The event, which began in Tashkent on October 15 and concluded the next day in the historic city of Khiva, brought together prominent figures, including muftis, religious leaders, and representatives of international organizations. According to the organizers, the primary goal of the conference was to promote the peaceful essence of Islam and instill a sense of tolerance and respect for universal values among the younger generation.
The conference placed a special emphasis on the importance of Islamic values in fostering peace, solidarity, and religious tolerance, highlighting the role of education and dialogue in addressing modern global issues. Scholars discussed ways to counter extremism and promote the peaceful coexistence of different cultures and religions, with a focus on raising awareness among the youth.
