In the presence of Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, Chancellor of Islamic Azad University, and Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa, President of the National Olympic Committee, a cooperation memorandum was signed by the parties.
Iran NOC; Tehran: This MOU was signed and concluded considering the
upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Bangkok-Chonburi Asian Indoor and Martial
Arts Games, Harbin Winter Olympic Games, Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games and
Riyadh Islamic Solidarity Games in current year and also in the future in order
to increase cooperation and sports, educational interactions, the use of facilities,
sports, medicine and training and camp centers of Islamic Azad University and holding
joint training courses in coaching and sports management. Joint cooperation in
holding conferences, seminars, scientific meetings, internships and educational
workshops at the national and international levels, providing necessary
services to the national athletes introduced by the National Olympic Committee
and Academy in Farhikhetgan Hospital, creating conditions for students to
visit the National Olympic Committee and Academy and the implementation of
various training courses were among the most important provisions of the above
memorandum that was signed between Azad University and the National Olympic
Committee.
In this meeting, the Chancellor of the Islamic Azad University wished
success to the Iranian delegation to the Paris Olympic Games, and the President
of the National Olympic Committee also pointed out the valuable position of the
Islamic Azad University in the sport of the country, considering the existing
material and spiritual potential. Other top-ranking NOC and sports officials represented
in the meeting.
