The Resistance Front of Islamic Iran political group announced Monday its support for candidate Saeed Jalili in the 14th presidential election in the country scheduled for June 28.
In a statement, the group mentioned that it has decided to support Jalili after assessing the sensitive circumstances and the necessities of the current phase, studying the backgrounds of the candidates, and discussing the matter with political elites.

The Front pointed out that the 13th presidential term, which was led by the late President Ebrahim Raisi, “managed to compensate for many damages and pave the way for progress after nearly a decade of a rhetoric that made the people’s lives and the country’s conditions dependent on the West.”
It emphasized that on the brink of the 14th presidential term, it is crucial to pay attention to this growing and advancing path and to ensure there is no return to “periods of turmoil and tension.”
The statement added that in these elections, the Iranian people are seeking a government that is highly productive, aware, and committed to the principles of the Islamic Revolution in order to “solve livelihood problems, bridge economic and cultural gaps, and safeguard the nation’s interests in the region.”
Earlier, Jalili indicated that he would work on achieving financial discipline, ensuring a balance between public revenues and expenditures, and protecting the national currency and maintaining its value.
He outlined precise programs to increase foreign currency income and banking and economic transparency, along with a program to monitor the banking system.
Jalili also affirmed that he would focus on employing educated individuals in various sectors to provide the best for Tehran’s economy and to keep pace with artificial intelligence in the next four years to prevent the decline of the country’s progress.
Islamic Coalition Party endorses Ghalibaf in Iranian presidential race
This comes after the Iranian Islamic Coalition Party announced on Sunday its support for presidential candidate Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf in the upcoming presidential elections.
The party stated in its announcement that, after studying global and regional developments and analyzing the current circumstances in this sensitive phase, it declares its support for Dr. Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, confirming respect for the remaining candidates.
The Islamic Coalition Party emphasized that its endorsement of Ghalibaf is based on his extensive experience in administration in the country and his commitment to the principles of the Islamic Revolution.
